Air Fence

Air Fence barriers were invented in 1991, and are designed to safely decelerate motorcycle riders in crash situations, protecting them from impact with solid walls.

OMRRA has deployed Air Fence barriers at Portland International Raceway since 2007.  To learn how they work please visit http://www.airfence.com.

The main annual fundraiser for the OMRRA Air Fence Fund is the Portland Motorcycle Film Festival, with over $60,000 raised the first 5 years.  To purchase tickets and see the list of films, see www.PDXmotorcyclefilms.com.

Key sponsors of our Film Festival since its inception in 2014 are BMW Motorcycles of Western Oregon and MotoCorsa.

Additional fundraising at OMRRA occurs as part of the annual Kelly Johnson Memorial Pit Bike Race. Click Here for OMRRA Pit Bike Race Details 2019.

OMRRA Air Fence was initially purchased with the help of the Road Racing World Action Fund and the direct support racers and companies in our local community.  Our current investment exceeds $100,000.
